A shooting at the Platinum Sound studio on Clinton Avenue in Newark last Wednesday night left two people dead and two others injured. Witnesses told ABC7 that the sounds of shots cut through the music that was playing inside the studio. Law‑enforcement officials confirmed that one man died on the scene and another was later pronounced dead at the hospital after being shot. Two men were taken to a local hospital with non‑critical injuries. Police and detectives cordoned off the surrounding area and combed the scene into the late evening. No arrests have been made yet and investigators believe the attack was a targeted hit, although the number of gunmen is still unknown. The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and Newark Police have not yet commented on the case, which remains under active investigation.
