Shocking video shows camel kick woman in face, knocking her out at Texas megachurch Christmas celebration

It truly felt like a mid‑week shocker. A startling clip that quickly went viral shows a camel delivering a sudden kick to a woman who had come to a Christmas celebration at a large megachurch in Texas.
The incident occurred during the “Christmas Spectacular” at Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston, a production that included a realistic nativity scene complete with live animals.
The video, which has already racked up more than one million views on social media, captures the camel walking down the aisle as part of the procession.
While being led by someone in costume, the animal jerked its hind leg back at the last moment and landed a blow on a woman seated beside the aisle.
Immediately after being struck, the woman appeared to lose consciousness, prompting several nearby churchgoers to rush to her aid.
A second camel was also on the floor, trotting along with other costumed performers directly behind the first one.
The woman was promptly taken to a hospital for treatment and has since been discharged, according to local news outlet Click2Houston.
In a statement to NBC News, Church Communications Director Steven Miori explained that “an unexpected incident occurred when a camel used in the production struck a guest in the audience.”
Miori added that “Champion Forest regrets that this happened. Our team responded immediately, and emergency services were engaged,” and noted that the church has been in contact with the victim’s family.
Champion Forest Baptist Church has yet to issue a formal response to The Post.
