Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi Gets Exciting Release Date
Fans of Sivakarthikeyan have some great news! His much-awaited Tamil movie Parasakthi now has an official release date. Directed and written by the talented Sudha Kongara, the film promises a thrilling journey through history. Get ready to hit theaters on January 14, 2026.
Produced by Aakash Baskaran under Dawn Pictures, Parasakthi stars Sivakarthikeyan alongside Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela in key roles. The makers just dropped a teaser video on Instagram, giving everyone a sneak peek into Sivakarthikeyan’s powerful character. "A stunning ride through history awaits. #Parasakthi in Theatres from 14th January 2026," they captioned the post. But hold on—Parasakthi won’t have an easy run at the box office. It will clash with Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated Jana Nayagan, set to release just days earlier on January 9, 2026. Directed by H Vinoth and with music by the chart-topping Anirudh Ravichander, Jana Nayagan comes from producer Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions.
Thalapathy Vijay has already built massive buzz around Jana Nayagan. Back on Republic Day 2025, he surprised fans by revealing his cool look from the film. The first poster showed Vijay snapping a selfie amid a crowd, rocking a blue denim shirt, black pants, and dark sunglasses. He kept it simple with the caption: #JanaNayagan.
The excitement ramped up even more on Vijay’s 51st birthday when the team unveiled the first teaser, titled First Roar. This 65-second clip kicks off with Vijay’s voice saying, "You guys will live in my heart." We see him striding through a chaotic, battle-like scene in a police uniform, gripping a lathi. The visuals mix destruction and intense drama, hinting at a gripping action-packed story.
Vijay’s last big hit was The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. Released in 2024, this sci-fi action flick became one of the year’s top-grossers. It followed a RAW agent’s botched mission that comes back to haunt his family years later, leading to an epic showdown.
