Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin Fires Back at Tejashwi Yadav Over ‘Criminal Nexus’ Claims
Patna, Sep 13: Bihar Cabinet Minister Nitin Nabin didn’t hold back when he responded to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s recent social media post. Tejashwi had accused the NDA government in Bihar of cozying up to criminals, but Nitin Nabin turned the tables with a sharp comeback.
In a fiery retort, the minister pointed to the RJD’s past, calling it the "lantern era" – a dig at their symbol. "Back then, criminals made it all the way to the Bihar Assembly and even Parliament," Nitin Nabin said. "But under NDA rule, we send them straight to jail." He took a personal swipe at Tejashwi, saying those who "grew up in the soil of crime and jungle raj" – referring to the chaotic law-and-order situation during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s time – have no business lecturing on Bihar’s improving law and order now.
Nitin Nabin reminded everyone of the dark days when kidnappings were rampant, even from the Chief Minister’s residence, turning it into an "industry of crime." He stressed that Tejashwi and the people of Bihar know the real story all too well. "Criminals reached high places in the lantern era, but today, NDA ensures they land behind bars," he added.
The exchange comes amid heightened political heat in Bihar, especially with JP Nadda’s visit to the state as BJP National President. Nitin Nabin slammed opposition leaders for their comments during the visit, revealing how corruption ran deep under RJD rule. "They even embezzled animal feed back then," he quipped. "These leaders should think twice before speaking out."
In a media chat, the minister went all out against the opposition, accusing them of misleading people, exploiting Bihar’s resources, and ignoring the poor while wallowing in corruption. On a positive note, he praised JP Nadda for rolling out the Ayushman Bharat health scheme, which brings free healthcare to every poor family in Bihar. "Nadda’s visit has energized our workers and given us clear guidance to hit our 2025 goals," Nitin Nabin shared.
BJP MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia echoed the excitement. "Every time JP Nadda comes to Bihar, he boosts our team’s morale like nothing else," he said. With Assembly elections on the horizon, Chaurasia is confident the party will perform even better under Nadda’s leadership. "Workers are super pumped up right now."
Taking another shot at the opposition, Chaurasia said those who’ve lost the people’s trust have nothing left to offer. He highlighted the backlash against "objectionable remarks" targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which have only fueled public anger in Bihar. "People still trust the NDA fully, and that’ll shine through in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections," he added.
As Bihar’s political scene heats up ahead of 2025, this back-and-forth shows the NDA sharpening its focus on law and order improvements while highlighting past RJD failures.
