Adtalem and Google Cloud have teamed up to launch a new AI credential program aimed at healthcare professionals. The partnership brings together Adtalem’s experience in health‑care education and Google Cloud’s advanced AI tools to create a training pathway that helps doctors, nurses, and allied health staff develop skills in machine‑learning, data analytics, and artificial‑intelligence applications in medicine.
The program will offer a series of online courses that cover the basics of AI, clinical decision support, and ethical use of data. After completing the curriculum, participants will earn a credential that can be added to their professional profile or used to support continuing‑education requirements. “We’re giving health‑care workers the hands‑on experience they need to safely and effectively incorporate AI into patient care,” said an Adtalem spokesperson.
Google Cloud will provide the technical platform, giving students access to its AI‑powered tools and real‑world data sets. Adtalem will handle the course design, assessments, and accreditation. The first cohort of learners is expected to start in early 2025, with ongoing enrollment throughout the year.
Industry experts see this initiative as part of a broader push to train the medical workforce for a technology‑driven future. By blending education with cutting‑edge AI resources, the partnership aims to improve patient outcomes and keep healthcare professionals ahead of the digital curve.
