Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) is set to host the 28th Energy Technology Meet in Hyderabad next week, from October 28 to 30. The three‑day event will bring together industry leaders, innovators and policy makers to talk about the future of sustainable refining and energy innovation.
Following the success of last year’s 27th edition, BPCL says this meeting will push the conversation further. “The three dynamic days of thought leadership, transformative ideas, and collaborative energy solutions are expected to pave the way for a sustainable future,” the company added in a statement.
BPCL also reached a big milestone for its LPG business. Last week the company rolled out “Zero Ka Dum” (ZKD), a nationwide third‑party certification program for LPG bottling plants across India. Each plant now undergoes a comprehensive audit by independent agencies accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB). These checks cover every stage of a cylinder’s journey—from plant to consumer—ensuring that only defect‑free, high‑quality LPG cylinders reach households.
Sanjay Khanna, BPCL’s Director of Refineries and Acting Chairman‑MD, highlighted the initiative: “The Zero Ka Dum program shows BPCL’s commitment to operational excellence and customer safety. It is the result of relentless effort by our LPG business unit to improve plant operations and deliver defect‑free cylinders to every household.” He praised the LPG team for setting new benchmarks in safety and reliability.
BPCL celebrated the program’s launch with a special event on October 16 at its Loni LPG bottling plant. Senior leadership, key stakeholders, distributors and transporters attended to mark the occasion.
The ZKD initiative underscores BPCL’s promise to uphold safety, quality and operational excellence in one of India’s most vital energy sectors. As the company moves forward, it aims to keep customers safe while driving innovation across the LPG supply chain.
