Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is on a mission to turn the state into India’s top manufacturing hub, especially in the east. Speaking at a big event in Bhubaneswar on Monday, he shared exciting plans to boost high-value product manufacturing and attract big investments.

During the foundation stone-laying ceremony for 27 new industries across 12 districts, Majhi highlighted how investor confidence is growing. “When Odisha pulls in investments, industries start trusting us more. Our policies and commitment to building a strong industrial base are winning hearts,” he said.

The CM emphasized shifting focus to high-value goods that can shine in global markets. “We’re drawing investors to produce top-notch products and climb up the manufacturing value chain. This will make Odisha the manufacturing powerhouse of Eastern India,” he added.

The event, held at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology Convention Centre, kicked off projects worth over Rs 25,000 crore. These 27 initiatives are set to create jobs for more than 52,000 young people, giving a big boost to employment in Odisha.

Majhi pointed out the rapid progress under his BJP government, which took charge just 15 months ago. “In this short time, we’ve approved 260 industrial projects, bringing in Rs 5.6 lakh crore in investments and jobs for 3.6 lakh people. We’ve also laid foundations for 84 projects, leading to over Rs 2 lakh crore invested and 1.64 lakh new jobs,” he shared.

To reassure industrialists, the Chief Minister promised smooth support. “We’ve cleared bureaucratic roadblocks and rolled out special incentives tailored for industries. We’re here to help every step of the way—resolving issues and providing the backing you need,” Majhi assured.

He wrapped up with a green call to action, urging business owners to plant saplings in their areas. “Let’s make the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ campaign a massive success together,” he said, tying industrial growth to environmental care.

With these steps, Odisha’s push for industrial development and job creation looks set to transform lives and the economy.
