Chennai, Dec 12 (LatestNewsX) – The team behind director Ganesh K Babu’s latest political thriller, Karathey Babu, announced that lead actor Ravi Mohan has begun recording his dialogue tracks.
Screen Scene Media Entertainment, the studio that’s producing the picture, took to its X timeline to highlight the start of post‑production work. A short clip showed Ravi arriving at the dubbing studio, and the company posted, “#KaratheyBabu starts speaking!!! @iam_RaviMohan @Screensceneoffl #SundarArumugam #KBDubbing.”
In his own post, Ravi welcomed the project, writing, “With all your blessings kickstarting the dubbing for my upcoming political entertainer #Karatheybabu. Directed by @ganeshkbabu. A @samcsmusic Musical. Produced by @screensceneoffl #SundarArumugam.”
For those unfamiliar, Karathey Babu is set to deliver a realistic political drama that pulls back the curtain on an MLA’s private world.
An intriguing fact is that Daudee Jiwal, the daughter of Tamil Nadu’s DGP Shankar Jiwal, takes on the female lead in the film.
Screen Scene Media Entertainment, known for hits such as Mathagam, has joined forces with Ravi Mohan again after Agilan and Brother.
In prior remarks, director Ganesh K Babu explained, “While many movies feature politicians, rarely do we see their intimate lives, relationships, and emotions unfold on screen. This film offers another angle on an MLA, shaping an emotional and grounded political thriller.”
He added, regarding his work with Ravi, “The crew is filming with ease and no pressure, thanks to Ravi’s full cooperation and dedication. I’m truly delighted to direct this movie.”
Produced in a sizable budget by Sundar Arumugam, the film brings together a diverse cast that includes K S Ravikumar, Nasser, VTV Ganesh, Subramaniam Siva, Kavithalaya Krishnan, and many other notable artists.
The score is composed by Sam C.S., while Ezhil Arasu K. handles cinematography. Editing is being overseen by Kathiresh Alagesan, and the screenplay is a collaborative effort by Rathna Kumar and Bakkiyam Sankar.
