Bengaluru, Karnataka – Get ready for some exciting news from the world of education! Edify School on Kanakapura Main Road, run by the trusted Vasavi Vidyanikethan Trust, is turning heads as a top CBSE school in Bengaluru. Known for its world-class facilities and all-round student development, the school is marking its 14th anniversary with a massive event: the Edify World Records Festival 2025. This isn’t just any celebration – it’s a chance for students to shine with creativity and talent.
Dr. Manandi Suresh, the school’s Chairman, shared his excitement: "This unique festival lets our students show off their skills by going for 3 team records and 28 individual ones." The fun kicked off with a grand inauguration on August 30 and 31, 2025. The actual record attempts happen from September 26 to 28 and October 11, 2025, wrapping up with a special Citation Ceremony on October 12. All these efforts get official stamps from Elite World Records, Asian Book of Records, and Indian Book of Records. What’s cool? Edify School is the first in Karnataka to chase 31 world records in such a short time, raising the bar for student achievements and holistic education in India.
Students’ Literary Magic: A Book Full of Young Voices
B.S. Arun Kumar, Secretary General of the VVN Trust, couldn’t hide his pride. "We focus on building strong LSRW skills – that’s listening, speaking, reading, and writing – while boosting creativity, English skills, memory, and personality growth." To highlight their literary side, the school aimed for a world record in the "Most Authors Contributing Maximum Fiction Short Stories to a Single Book." A whopping 389 students from grades II to XII wrote 754 original stories packed with imagination, fresh ideas, and life lessons.
After submitting, the kids faced one-on-one interviews with judges from top record agencies. Experts checked every story for realness and creativity through several rounds. In the end, a panel of 10 judges greenlit 321 authors and 645 stories for a book called Glimmering Tales. This gem will get copyright protection, an ISBN number, and hit shelves in bookstores and online soon. Arun Kumar added, "It’s all about celebrating our students’ spark and teaching them discipline, hard work, and a love for writing. This inspires kids to dream big and chase their creative passions."
Book Review Relay: Sparking a Love for Reading
T. Srinivas, President of the V.V.N. Trust, talked about their first big record try: the "Most Participants in a Book Review Relay in 12 Hours." On August 31, 2025, from 6:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., 394 students from grades II to XII shared smart book reviews. They covered plot summaries, pros and cons, ratings, and tips – all to build reading habits, critical thinking, and sharing knowledge. Judges watched closely, and 365 students made the cut under world record rules. Srinivas said, "This goes beyond records; it builds confidence, sparks ideas, and creates lifelong learners."
Young Star Sai Sannidhi’s Storytelling Triumph
P.V. Dwarakanath, Treasurer of the V.V.N. Trust, highlighted a standout moment from Grade IV student Sai Sannidhi S. This talented girl, daughter of Sujay S and Swapna R, wrote 101 short stories with unique morals and titles. She’s gunning for the record as the "Youngest to Publish a Fiction Book Containing the Most Short Stories." On August 30, 2025, she faced an intense 11-hour interview with 10 judges from global record bodies. After tough checks, all 101 stories got the thumbs up for her book Tales of My Imagination. It’ll be copyrighted, get an ISBN, and launch on October 12, 2025, in stores and online.
Her parents beamed with joy, comparing the interview to a tough UPSC exam that helped her grow. Dwarakanath wrapped up, "This is a huge win for Sai and the school, motivating young writers to tap into their creativity and aim high."
Shlok Mathur’s Artistic Tribute to a Legend
Principal Shashikala Bai B.E. praised Grade VII student Shlok Mathur for his record-breaking art. From August 29 to 30, 2025, Shlok spent 18 hours folding 9,500 origami houses into a stunning 27-square-meter mosaic (4.5m x 6m). The design? A portrait of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Missile Man of India, honoring his wisdom and dreams. The Principal said, "Shlok’s work shows amazing focus and love for art. It pays tribute to a national hero while inspiring kids to mix creativity with pride, hard work, and excellence."
