New Delhi () – India has issued special commemorative coins and stamps to mark the 100th anniversary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

The coins can be bought online from the Kolkata Mint at https://indiagovtmint.in/hi/product-category/kolkata-mint. All stamp designs are available at Philately Bureaus across India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also promoted the centenary. He unveiled a specially designed post‑age stamp and coin on October 1, praising the RSS for its long‑standing role in nation‑building and social service. He highlighted the symbolic link between the RSS’s founding on Vijayadashami—“the festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil”—and its mission of strengthening the nation.

The RSS was started in 1925 in Nagpur by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, a volunteer‑based group that promotes cultural awareness, discipline, and civic responsibility.

The commemorative items celebrate the RSS’s 100 years of dedication, unity, and service to India.
