Madhya Pradesh’s tourism chief said the state is on a mission to become a top global spot for heritage, wildlife, and spirituality after strong outreach at the ITB Asia 2025 travel trade show in Singapore.
Sheo Shekhar Shukla, managing director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB), concluded a two‑day event at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre on Friday. “ITB Asia gave us a powerful global stage,” he told reporters. “We want to pack Madhya Pradesh’s rich heritage, forests, and wildlife into a package that travelers can’t forget.”
During the show, Shukla met with tour operators, buyers and travel leaders from around the world. The meetings focused on boosting inbound tourism and building new partnerships. He highlighted the state’s key attractions—wildlife sanctuaries, cultural heritage sites, adventure spots, and even film and wedding destinations—underscoring Madhya Pradesh’s nickname, the “Heart of Incredible India.”
A big talking point was training for rural homestay owners. Shukla said he hopes to partner with Airbnb to run workshops that will help locals improve hospitality skills and attract more visitors. This move could open new tourism avenues and give travelers a more authentic experience.
The event also brought together experts in MICE, travel tech, and corporate travel, creating a perfect environment for networking and deal‑making. Shukla’s message was clear: Madhya Pradesh is ready to step onto the world stage as a cultural, natural, and adventure destination.
With strong ITB Asia support and fresh B2B collaborations, the state aims to draw more international tourists and show the world why Madhya Pradesh is a must‑visit spot in India.
