Ahmedabad – At the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference on Thursday, Karan Adani, the Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), urged India’s leaders and investors to keep pushing ahead with clean energy. He highlighted Gujarat’s big role in the country’s transition to a greener future.

Adani said Gujarat is turning its deserts and coastlines into a hub of renewable power. “We at the Adani Group, through Adani Green Energy, are proud to build what will soon be the world’s largest renewable energy facility at Khavda, Gujarat—30,000 MW of clean power,” he announced to a room full of entrepreneurs and public officials.

The group is also expanding its manufacturing base in solar panels, wind turbines, copper, green hydrogen, and eco‑friendly PVC. “This ecosystem will make India truly self‑reliant and future‑ready,” Karan added.

He praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel for turning Gujarat into a symbol of progress. “It shows where business meets inclusion and policy meets purpose,” he said. “Gujarat is more than our starting point—it’s our home, foundation, and future.”

“Every entrepreneur, worker and student in Gujarat believes that its growth is India’s growth. That belief is our greatest strength,” Karan highlighted. He noted that over the past five years the Adani Group has invested 2 lakh crore rupees (about $27 billion) in the state, building ports, logistics and energy infrastructure.

The conference, which kicked off with Chief Minister Patel opening a trade show in Mehsana, drawing in highlights like Union Railway, Industry & Commerce Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The event is seen as a chance for deeper dialogue and new partnership opportunities for the next wave of clean‑energy investment in India.
