The business forum in Kazan started on Wednesday, spotlighting strong India‑Russia ties and new ways to grow together. The Tatarstan India Mutual Efficiency (TIME) Business Forum drew leaders, entrepreneurs, and cultural figures from both countries to explore joint projects in technology, health, banking and more.
The event featured lively business talks, panel debates on health and labor mobility, a showcase of Indian films, and a friendly cricket match. Ambassador Vinay Kumar led India’s delegation, which included officials from the Ministry of Ayush, senior Telangana government representatives, Agra’s mayor, business leaders, spiritual teachers and film stars.
Ambassador Kumar met with Tatarstan head Rustam Minnikhanov, saying the future opening of an Indian Consulate General in Kazan will boost trade, investment and people‑to‑people links. “India’s fast‑growing economy and its 2047 development plan offer great opportunities for Kazan businesses,” he told the forum. “Our youth can support Tatarstan’s industries through skilled migration and capacity building.”
During his tour of the TIME exhibition, Kumar highlighted how India’s Ayush medicine, technology cooperation, and banking innovations are already shaping new cross‑border projects. He also unveiled the Centre for Indian Studies at Kazan Federal University, supported by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
The forum underscored that a new Indian Consulate in Kazan will deepen cultural exchange and drive regional cooperation, marking a fresh chapter for India‑Russia business and cultural collaboration.
