PNN – Vadodara (Gujarat), Oct 11 – German paint pioneer Keimfarben GmbH (KEIM) is stepping up its presence in India after signing a license deal with Zydex Industries, a big name in sustainable construction solutions. The partnership will let Indian businesses use KEIM’s world‑class silicate paint technology right here in the country, with Zydex handling local manufacturing and sales.

Silicate paints are famous for their toughness, breathability and eco‑friendliness. In Europe, buildings coated with this mineral paint have gone more than 130 years without a fresh coat, setting a high bar for durability. Architects around the globe trust KEIM for high‑profile projects – from the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore to the Sydney Opera House – because the paint keeps colours stable, resists the weather and doesn’t trap moisture inside walls.

“With India’s construction boom, it’s a perfect time to bring KEIM’s proven silicate paint to local builders and developers,” said Dr Moulik Ranka, Director of Zydex Group. “We aim to give Indian architecture a product that looks great, lasts long and stays in line with our sustainability goals.”

KEIM’s CEO, Rudiger Lugert, echoed that sentiment. “India is one of the fastest‑growing construction markets,” he said. “Partnering with Zydex lets us deliver our heritage of silicate innovation directly to the ground, raising expectations for paint longevity across the country.”

Zydex’s COO, Amrendra Mishra, added that the collaboration will “give the Indian architectural community access to a technology that has protected iconic structures for decades.” The move should help designers, developers, and public infrastructure projects benefit from a mineral paint that offers superior weather resistance, color stability and environmental compatibility.
