Tragic Car Accident Claims Five Lives Near Patna
In a heartbreaking incident early Thursday morning near Patna, five businessmen lost their lives in a severe car accident. The accident occurred on the busy Patna-Gaya-Dobhi four-lane national highway 83, close to Suiya Mor under Parsa Bazar police station in Bihar.
The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. when their speeding car collided with a truck. The impact was so intense that the front of the car got embedded into the truck, making rescue efforts difficult. Locals heard the loud crash and rushed to the scene, alerting police immediately.
After nearly two hours of using gas cutters and a crane, authorities managed to retrieve the bodies from the wreckage. The victims were all residents of Patna and nearby districts and were involved in the pesticide and agro-products business.
The five men identified as victims are:
– Rajesh Kumar (50) from Kurji Chashma Gali, Patna
– Sanjay Kumar Sinha (55) from Patel Nagar, Patna
– Kamal Kishore (38), from Patna
– Prakash Chaurasia (35), from Samastipur but living in Patna
– Sunil Kumar (38), from Muzaffarpur but residing in Patna
Family members shared that the group had gone to Fatuha for business work and were returning late at night when the tragic accident happened. Rajesh Kumar, a well-known agro agency owner, was among those who died.
Police suspect that the car was traveling at a very high speed, which caused the crash. The truck was either moving very slowly or was parked on the roadside without proper signals, making it difficult for the speeding car to stop in time. The driver of the car apparently had no chance to apply the brakes.
The bodies have been sent to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for post-mortem examination. Families of the victims have been informed by police through phone calls.
A case has been registered against the truck driver at Parsa Bazar police station. The driver is currently absconding, and police are actively searching for him.
This tragic accident highlights the dangers of overspeeding and reckless driving. Authorities continue to investigate the incident and seek justice for the victims.
