Quora has emerged as a powerhouse for trusted answers on Google’s AI‐powered search. A fresh Semrush study found that the site is the fourth‑most cited domain in Google’s AI Mode, popping up in about 7.3 % of AI responses – roughly one answer in every 14.

AI Mode is a feature users opt into when they want an AI‑generated reply instead of the usual list of links. By contrast, AI Overviews appear automatically at the top of search pages. Quora’s presence on both formats shows the platform’s growing influence on what people read when they look for quick, reliable answers.

“The fact that Quora continues to be cited so often in Google’s AI tools underlines the value of authentic, expert‑driven content,” said Gurmit Singh, Quora’s General Manager for APAC & MEA. “It also demonstrates how conversations on our site shape the information that users see across the web.”

Key takeaways from the Semrush research:

* Quora threads surface based on topical relevance, not just exact keyword matches.
* Highly engaged discussions—averaging 37 replies and 15 upvotes—are far more likely to be cited.
* AI responses pull together insights from Quora, with less than half the content directly overlapping original answers.
* When Quora’s machine‑learning system flags a thread as relevant, the chance of it being cited jumps nine‑fold.

For brands, the numbers are compelling. A presence on Quora can reach 400 million monthly visitors and, through Google’s AI channels, extend that visibility even further. Marketing teams interested in advertising on Quora can learn more about opportunities at the Quora Business site. The full Semrush study is available on the company’s blog.

Quora remains a leading knowledge‑sharing platform where people ask questions and share insights. With its growing role in AI‑powered search, it’s shaping how we find and trust information online.
