Odisha Police has launched a search for a missing woman traffic constable from Bhubaneswar, offering a Rs 25,000 cash reward for any tips on her whereabouts. The 25-year-old officer, Subhasmita Sahoo, hails from Paradeep in Jagatsinghpur district and went missing on September 6.
DCP Bhubaneswar Jagmohan Meena shared updates on the missing traffic constable case, saying they’ve filed a missing report and are using every tool at their disposal. “We’re deploying intelligence and technical surveillance to track her down,” he explained. “We’ve shared posters on social media and across key spots in the city. We’re also speaking with her family and everyone she was close to.”
Meena added that Subhasmita finished her shift and headed home after duty, but she never made it back. The police have registered an MMR (Missing Person Report) and are investigating from every angle to ensure her safe return.
On that fateful day, Subhasmita left her Surya Nagar residence around 10 am for work. Her shift ended at 7 pm, but she didn’t return, sparking worry among her loved ones. Her family quickly approached the local police station and even met the Twin City Commissioner of Police, urging swift action to find the missing woman police officer.
