Gurugram (Haryana), October 10 – Supreme Auto Carrier, part of the Supreme Group, has just finished its first New Modified Goods (NMG) rail run for Mahindra & Mahindra and Volkswagen ŠkodaAuto India. The move used dedicated NMG railway rakes to transport more than 200 cars, showcasing the company’s growing expertise in combining truck and train transport to move vehicles quickly and safely across India.
The rail run cut transport time by around 25 hours and lowered carbon emissions, reinforcing the shift toward greener logistics. Supreme Auto Carrier said railway delivery also keeps vehicle parts better protected than road transport, reducing the risk of damage and helping keep costs down.
Chief of the company, Vikrant Gupta, said the initiative highlights the group’s ability to offer end‑to‑end solutions that match the needs of top OEMs. “NMG rail movements let us deliver reliable, efficient transport while supporting a cleaner supply chain,” Gupta explained.
The NMG operation also illustrates how rail can complement road transport, improving overall cost and turnaround times. Faster deliveries mean cars hit high‑demand markets sooner, benefiting manufacturers and consumers alike.
Supreme Group has already set industry benchmarks with India’s first 8‑car capacity loaders. Adding rail logistics to its fleet now positions the company at the forefront of India’s multimodal transport push.
Supreme Group is a leading name in vehicle logistics and transportation in India, offering innovative, safe, and sustainable services to major automobile manufacturers.
