Synechron, a top global consulting firm for digital transformation, just made a big move in the tech world. On October 3, the company announced it’s forming a new global ServiceNow business by acquiring three key players: RapDev, Calitii, and Waivgen. This deal positions Synechron as the leader in ServiceNow capabilities, offering the most comprehensive and worldwide services in the sector.
By bringing these three firms together, Synechron now runs the largest ServiceNow practice focused on financial services. The team will tap into ServiceNow’s powerful cloud platform to help businesses revamp their workflows and weave in artificial intelligence (AI) for everyday operations. Synechron has long specialized in banking, financial services, and insurance. But with the fresh expertise from these acquisitions, the company can now expand into new areas like healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, utilities, and even airlines.
“This is a game-changer for our growth,” said Faisal Husain, CEO of Synechron. “ServiceNow’s potential is huge, and we’re thrilled to help clients tap into it with the deep industry knowledge and engineering skills of this new team.”
Each acquired company brings its own strengths to the table, all centered on ServiceNow but with extra perks. RapDev stands out as the world’s biggest Datadog partner, a key tool for monitoring tech systems that Synechron’s clients rely on. Calitii excels at building and rolling out major ServiceNow setups for the globe’s largest banks. Waivgen, meanwhile, is a top Appian partner and offers a rich library of AI agents tailored for banking, financial services, insurance (BFSI), and big global organizations. These AI tools help firms harness cutting-edge tech in smart ways.
The deals involved trusted advisors: Canaccord Genuity for RapDev, Raymond James for Calitii, and Tura Advisory for Waivgen.
Leaders from the acquired firms shared their excitement about joining forces. “It started with Synechron’s people, culture, and engineering-driven spirit,” said Tameem Hourani, CEO of RapDev. “Teaming up with another fast-growing engineering group opens doors to explode our global reach.”
Patrick O’Connor, CEO of Calitii, added, “Synechron and Calitii are on the same page when it comes to innovating for banks. With ServiceNow, we’ll deliver even more tools to fast-track clients’ AI journeys.”
Arjun Devadas, CEO of Waivgen, highlighted the AI angle: “We blend platform expertise with heavy investments in agentic AI. Now, as part of this team, we can share our AI agents with customers worldwide.”
Synechron drives positive change through digital transformation. As a global tech consulting firm, it mixes creativity and innovation to create standout solutions in areas like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital strategy, cloud, DevOps, data, and software engineering. Its research arm, FinLabs, develops award-winning tools customized for clients. The company employs over 16,000 people across 60 offices in more than 20 countries.
