Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida on Friday to check the preparations for the big International Trade Show, UPITS 2025. He took a close look at everything from security setups and logistics to facilities for participants, and gave clear instructions to officials to make sure it all runs smoothly.
Yogi Adityanath highlighted how this trade show will put Uttar Pradesh’s traditions, skills, and products on the global map. It ties perfectly into the ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives, giving local businesses a huge boost. He urged every district in the state to join in actively. Special stalls will spotlight items from the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, featuring everything from handicrafts and tasty food products to industrial goods.
“This isn’t just an exhibition—it’s a door to fresh opportunities, strong business connections, and new investments for entrepreneurs and young people,” the Chief Minister said.
He put a big focus on getting youth involved, asking officials to promote UPITS 2025 widely in colleges and universities. “Spread the word about this event so students can jump in directly. It’ll give them real-world experience and spark their interest in entrepreneurship and innovation,” he added.
Yogi Adityanath also pushed for promoting Khadi and village industries. He wants the fashion show at the event to showcase Khadi, handicrafts, and rural products front and center, with help from experts at Film City to grab international attention. “This will power up the rural economy and create new markets for local artisans,” he noted.
For visitors, the team is setting up shuttle services, easy guidance, and facilities that cater to the elderly. Officials got strict orders to handle security, accommodation, and transport especially well for foreign buyers and guests.
The Chief Minister zipped around the exhibition complex in an e-cart, checking VIP routes, security plans, and visitor amenities. Additional Chief Secretary for MSME Alok Kumar shared updates on the prep work, while Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh laid out the security strategy.
The meeting included key figures like MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, ACS (MSME) Alok Kumar, District Magistrate Medha Rupam, and Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick off the five-day UPITS 2025 on September 25, and it will run until September 29, promising exciting showcases and networking for all.
