Dehradun, October 16 – Uttarakhand’s state government announced that it will host the Uttarakhand AI Impact Summit 2025 on Friday, October 17. The event is organised together with the India AI Mission and the Ministry of Electronics and IT.
The summit is a pre‑event for the India‑AI Impact Summit 2026, which will run on February 19‑20 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. It marks the first global AI forum to be held in the Global South and signals India’s growing leadership in shaping the worldwide AI agenda.
Under India’s “AI for All” vision, the Uttarakhand summit aims to tap artificial intelligence for social inclusion, innovation and better public services. Policymakers, industry leaders, startups and academics will discuss how AI can advance the state’s Digital Uttarakhand vision and promote responsible, inclusive AI use.
The programme will showcase cutting‑edge AI applications and startup projects, with presentations from IIM Kashipur‑supported companies and the STPI team in Dehradun. Keynote sessions will cover the state’s IT roadmap and its AI governance plans.
By highlighting AI’s role in sustainable development, inclusive growth and social progress, the summit seeks to chart a path where technology serves humanity and protects the planet.
