New Delhi, Oct. 20 – In a lively show of unity, India’s top ministers sent warm Diwali wishes to the nation, reminding everyone that the festival of lights marks the triumph of goodness and knowledge over darkness and ignorance.
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal began the greetings on X, writing, “Heartfelt Diwali greetings to all fellow citizens!” He added that the festival’s spirit of light over darkness and truth over untruth should bring joy, prosperity, health and fresh energy to everyone’s life.
Oil‑sector chief Hardeep Singh Puri echoed the sentiment, wishing all citizens “Happy Diwali” and calling the festival a symbol of light, truth and righteousness. He hope the celebrations spark happiness and prosperity across the country.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Pralhad Joshi urged citizens to use Diwali as a chance to strengthen society’s bonds of harmony. He tweeted, “Heartfelt greetings to all on the auspicious occasion of #Diwali. May the festival bring peace, prosperity and positivity to every home.”
Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia celebrated the Deepotsav on X, saying the lights deepen happiness and encourage the nation to keep moving forward on a path of progress and glory.
Kiren Rijiju of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs welcomed the festival with a post that read: “Happy Diwali! Let the glow of diyas bring warmth, happiness, and success to every home, and inspire us to spread love, peace and harmony across India.”
The President, Droupadi Murmu, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also posted Diwali messages, wishing every citizen joy, prosperity and a bright future.
Across the country, people lit diyas, candles and lanterns, and offered prayers to Lord Lakshmi, turning streets and homes into vibrant celebrations of light. The joyous atmosphere underlines Diwali’s timeless message: light wins over darkness, truth over falsehood, and good over evil; a hopeful reminder for every generation.
