Abhishek Bachchan reveals why this year’s performance is close to his heart at Filmfare Awards 2025

Abhishek Bachchan said his appearance at the 70th Filmfare Awards will be a highlight of his career. In an interview with , the actor told reporters that growing up watching the “Black Lady” trophy has long made Filmfare special for him. “I’ve watched it when I was young, and now I’m celebrating on this very stage,” he said. “This year’s performance is close to my heart, and I promise it will be unforgettable.”

The 70th edition of the Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025 is scheduled for October 11, 2025, at the EKA Arena beside Kankaria Lake in Ahmedabad. The star‑packed night will honor the biggest names and moments in Indian cinema.

Shah Rukh Khan will co‑host the ceremony along with Maniesh Paul and Karan Johar. “From the first time I held the Black Lady, to sharing movies and memories with fans, it’s been a journey of love and magic,” Shah Rukh added. “I’m thrilled to return as a host for the 70th year and promise a night full of laughter and nostalgia.”

Karan Johar echoed the sentiment, noting that Filmfare is “not just an award, it’s a legacy that shapes Indian cinema.” He said he’s honored to host, especially as the industry celebrates 70 bright years of storytelling.
