One source close to the project shares, “Ahaan burst onto the scene and quickly became India’s top Gen Z star. His debut pulled huge crowds to theaters—something rare for newcomers. Aditya Chopra and Ali Abbas Zafar knew his follow-up needed to be another love story, but with action elements to keep it exciting and modern.”

Ahaan’s performance in Saiyaara won over audiences, especially young fans. He played a devoted boyfriend standing by his girlfriend through her Alzheimer’s struggle, leaving moviegoers in tears. “Everyone loves him for that emotional depth,” another insider adds. “The team wants to build on that fan connection right away.”

Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara is a musical romantic drama inspired by the 2004 Korean film A Moment to Remember. Ahaan stars opposite newcomer Aneet Padda, and it became the second highest-grossing Hindi movie of 2025—plus the top-earning Indian romantic film ever.

Ali Abbas Zafar brings his hit-making magic to the table. He’s behind blockbusters like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. This new film marks his fifth team-up with YRF chief Aditya Chopra, following Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai.

The script is all set, locked in by Ali and Aditya. Shooting kicks off in early 2026, promising more Bollywood magic from this powerhouse duo. Keep an eye out—Ahaan Panday’s star is just getting brighter.
