On Dec 10 in Mumbai, Bollywood newcomer Ahaan Panday posted a series of cheerful snapshots with his mom to mark her birthday. In one image he‑remembers his childhood training to swim—baby float in the pool, Deanne hugging him tight, guiding him through the water. Another set shows the pair laughing at a selfie. Earlier that day, his first‑cousin, actress Ananya Panday, took to her own feed to wish their Chachi a happy birthday, posting a photo with Deanne and captioning it “Happy Birthday, Chachi.”
Ahaan, who broke into the industry with Saiyaraa this year, became an overnight sensation. The film was well‑received by audiences, especially younger fans, and critics praised it as well. He recalls the moment his mother first saw a billboard for his movie, and Deanne later shared several pictures and clips of that event. She thanked fans for the love shown to Saiyaara, adding on her socials:
“It’s been a little over 3 months since Ahaan & I saw his first ever billboard. What a joyful ride that night & ever since for our son & family. So much gratitude for all the love you all have shown our son. Blessed to have experienced the purest form of joy (sic).”
She went on,
“Thank you from our hearts. God bless you and your families always & forever. (Folded hands, hugs, dizzy and infinity emojis)”
With the success of Mohit Suri’s Saiyaraa, reports say Ahaan has now secured a role in the upcoming action‑romance directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
