Mumbai, Dec 12 – LatestNewsX reports that legendary star Rajinikanth celebrated his 75th birthday today. Fans and colleagues worldwide were treating the megastar with a flood of congratulatory messages.
Two prominent actors, Anil Kapoor and Kajol, took to social media to honour him. Each shared a photo of Rajinikanth and wrote heartfelt tributes. Kapoor’s post read: “75 years. Half a decade of absolute cinematic domination. One name, one phenomenon, @rajinikanth. Happy 75th to the eternal Thalaivar.” Meanwhile, Kajol posted a stylish shot, wishing, “Forever a legend! Many happy returns of the day, @rajinikanth sir.”
A quick detour into their film histories: Kapoor and Rajinikanth first shared a screen together in the 2000 action‑drama Bulandi, directed by Rama Rao Tatineni. The film starred an ensemble pack including Raveena Tandon and Rekha, and explored the moral battle of a principled village head. Kapoor played a dual role – a noble zamindar and his modern descendant – while Rajinikanth came in for an extended special appearance.
Although Kajol hasn’t acted alongside Rajinikanth directly, she did team up with his former son‑in‑law Dhanush in the 2015 family drama VIP 2, where she played a determined businesswoman opposite him.
