Actress Ankita Lokhande celebrated Dhanteras, the first day of Diwali, by posting a sweet “modern AnVi ki fairytale” video on Instagram. The video showed her and her husband, Vicky Jain, holding hands and laughing from a recent Diwali party she had hosted.
“Modern fairytale? No dragons, no rescues, no glass slippers. Just a king and a queen choosing each other every day, even when the story gets hard,” Ankita wrote with a playful caption. She then wished everyone a prosperous Dhanteras, adding her own heartfelt hashtag, #Dhan, for the day.
Ankita and Vicky married in December 2021. The couple first met on screen during the 17th season of “Bigg Boss,” which was hosted by Salman Khan and won by Munawar Faruqui. After that reality TV gig, they appeared together on the cooking‑comedy show “Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment” with Bharti Singh.
A seasoned TV actress, Ankita first made her mark as Archana in the serial “Pavitra Rishta.” She also had roles in the historical film “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi” and the action flick “Baaghi 3”. More recently, she starred in the biopic “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,” directed, co‑written, and co‑produced by Randeep Hooda, who also plays the titular historical figure.
As she celebrated the festival with a dash of romance and a hopeful vibe, Ankita reminded fans that the magic of Dhanteras is all about new beginnings and shared joy.
