Anupam Kher had a surprise encounter with filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma in Mumbai on Monday, and the veteran actor couldn’t hide his excitement. Kher, who made a quick cameo in RGV’s hit film Sarkar, has long been a fan of the director’s bold style.
Sharing a photo on Instagram where he rests a hand on RGV’s shoulder, Kher called him a "Cool Dude." He wrote, "I was really very happy to meet the maverick director #RamGopalVarma recently! Even though as an actor I have just done a small guest appearance role in one of his films, I have always admired his brilliance."
Kher praised RGV as one of the original "Cool" directors behind classics like Shiva, Satya, Company, Sarkar, and Rangeela. He added a fun hope: "Hope he soon comes up with something extraordinary with me also in it! Wishing you great luck my friend! @rgvzoomin."
Just a day earlier on Sunday, Kher connected with rising Bollywood star Ahaan Panday, the Gen Z talent known from Saiyaara. The two posed for a cheerful Instagram snap, with Kher in a sharp blazer and Ahaan rocking a casual hoodie.
Kher dismissed any talk of a generation gap in his caption: "NO GENERATION GAP HERE! Welcome #AhaanPanday to this wonderful jungle of creativity, fun, success, failure, blood rush, excitements, disappointments, joy rides, awards, rewards and lots of ups and downs. May you have a long long innings in this magical world of madness called cinema! Jai Ho! #Saiyaara #Actor."
These heartwarming Mumbai meetings highlight Kher’s knack for bridging Bollywood generations, from industry legends like Ram Gopal Varma to fresh faces like Ahaan Panday.
