Hyderabad—A fire‑ridden Volvo bus plunged into tragedy on the Hyderabad‑Bengaluru highway early Friday, leaving 11 people dead and many more injured. Prayers for the injured and strength for those grieving.” His father, veteran producer and actor Mohan Babu, also shared his sorrow. Babu posted, “It’s heart‑wrenching to hear about the bus tragedy on the highway. So many lives were lost in moments… Words fall short. I offer my deepest condolences to the families and pray for recovery of the injured and strength for the grieving.”
The accident has drawn condolences from leaders across India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief and announced an ex‑gratia payment of ₹2 lakh for each family of a deceased passenger. President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan also shared their sorrow on X, calling the incident “deeply unfortunate” and extending their condolences to the bereaved.
