Bollywood’s hilarious judge Archana Puran Singh always lights up the screen with her infectious laughter on The Kapil Sharma Show. But off-camera, she’s a deeply emotional and positive person who’s faced real-life ups and downs, especially in her marriage to actor Parmeet Sethi. In a heartfelt podcast with Art of Living, Archana opened up about their journey, showing how they turned challenges into a stronger bond.

Archana kicked off by questioning the idea of a “perfect couple.” “People often call Parmeet and me perfect,” she shared. “But what’s that really mean? To me, it’s about overcoming life’s hurdles together. Our marriage had plenty—misunderstandings, ego clashes, and times we just didn’t get each other. That’s when spiritual leader Shri Shri Ravi Shankar stepped in to guide us.”

She credits Art of Living practices, like Sudarshan Kriya, for transforming her life. “It’s like my complete religion,” Archana said. A friend’s wife, an Art of Living teacher, urged her to try it. During one session, a buried childhood memory surfaced. “I suddenly blurted out, ‘Mummy, don’t leave me!’ I was shocked. Later, I asked my mom, and she revealed that when I was just 10 months old, she left for Kolkata for 10 days—the only time she ever did that. That separation stuck with me for decades.”

At the time, Archana’s relationship with Parmeet was rocky. She convinced him to join the Art of Living course in Bangalore. “I told him, ‘This is the best gift you can give yourself—it’s like your best friend,'” she recalled. Parmeet tried Sudarshan Kriya the next day and came back changed. “He said he saw me as the most beautiful woman, even amid our fights. It shifted how we viewed each other.”

From there, things improved step by step. “We started meditating together, doing pranayama and Sudarshan Kriya daily,” Archana explained, her voice breaking with emotion. “Meditation doesn’t add anything new; it just changes your perspective. The same annoyances still happen, but they don’t irritate you anymore. Our true selves emerged, and we began appreciating each other. We chose to start fresh—that’s why fans see us as the perfect couple now.”

For those who don’t know, Archana and Parmeet share a love marriage. They’ve been together since dating years ago, despite Archana being five years older. The couple has two sons, Aaryaman Sethi and Ayushmaan Sethi. Recently, Aaryaman proposed to his longtime girlfriend and actress Yogita Bihani, with Archana and Parmeet cheering him on.

Archana’s story highlights how Art of Living meditation and Sudarshan Kriya can heal emotional wounds and strengthen relationships, inspiring many facing similar struggles.
