Anya Singh is all praise for Aryan Khan’s directorial skills in his debut series The Bastards of Bollywood, which dropped on OTT on September 18. The actress, who plays the manager to the lead character Aasmaan Singh, stole the show with her strong performance and is now getting tons of love from fans.
In a recent chat, Anya opened up about her time on set. "Working on The Bastards of Bollywood was truly enriching," she shared. "Aryan has this unique clarity in his thoughts and a fresh, modern take on storytelling." She added that he really challenged her: "He pushed me out of my comfort zone and unlocked a fearless side in me as an actor. That’s what made the whole journey special. Seeing the audience connect with our work now feels overwhelming."
Since its release, The Bastards of Bollywood has been buzzing with positive reviews from viewers. The show grabbed headlines right from its announcement, and the grand launch in August only added to the hype. That’s when Aryan Khan stepped up for his first public speech in front of the media, charming everyone with his honest and witty style.
One funny moment from that event went viral, showing just how much Aryan has inherited from his dad, Shah Rukh Khan. Admitting he was nervous after prepping for three straight nights, Aryan joked about carrying a handwritten note "just in case of a power cut or teleprompter glitch." He even pulled out a torch from his pocket, leaving the crowd in splits.
In a hilarious twist, he quipped, "Aur agar tabhi mujhse koi mistake ho jaye, to papa hai na (If anything still goes wrong, my dad’s here)." Shah Rukh Khan jumped in on the fun, turning his back to reveal a copy of Aryan’s speech taped to it—like he was ready to bail him out!
The series features a powerhouse cast, including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sehhar Bamba, Manoj Bawa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Gautami Kapoor.
