Mumbai, Oct 14 – The “Balika Vadhu” star Avika Gor got married on national television, tying the knot with her long‑term boyfriend, Milind Chandwani, on the reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga.

The actress told that she knew the decision would spark criticism, but she “always makes unconventional choices”. She said she has never been afraid to forge her own path, even if people disagree.

“When we decided to do it on TV, we expected criticism,” Avika said. She added that the wedding would be uneventful only if everyone thought it was ordinary. “I’ve had people who didn’t agree with what I do, but I keep following my own path.”

She explained that her wedding was just another chapter in a life she wants people to admire. “People might dream about my journey, and I’m grateful for it,” she said. “It’s not easy, but we keep going.”

The bride said the most special moment at the ceremony was one of the pheras—the traditional vows. “I felt a click, and I knew, ‘yes,’ that it was real. That realization made the ceremony feel true.”

Avika noted that everyone in the ceremony attracted attention, good or bad. “The fact that people are watching is enough,” she said.

The wedding, which was broadcast live, marked a bold move for the Bollywood‑style screen star, cementing her reputation as a trendsetter in Indian television.
