Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh buzzes with devotion as locals and visitors dive into Navratri celebrations. The city, known as the birthplace of Lord Ram, hosts its seventh Ramleela, a vibrant retelling of epic Ramayan stories that’s pulling in huge crowds this year.
Actor Rahull Bhuchar, who takes on the role of Lord Ram, shared his excitement with . “I’m overwhelmed,” he said. “I feel like 18-20 crore people watched the Ramleela from home on TV.” He gave a special shoutout to Miss Universe India 2023, Manika Vishwakarma, making her acting debut as Maa Sita. “We hope she joins us every year and has an amazing time like this,” Bhuchar added.
Manika beamed about her experience too. “It felt incredible,” she told . “This was my first acting gig on such a prestigious stage. Visiting Ayodhya, Lord Ram’s birthplace, made it all the more special.”
Puneet Issar, playing the fierce Lord Parshuram, called it a personal milestone. “This is my way of contributing to Sanatan Dharma,” he said. “I just want everyone to embrace devotion and live by Lord Ram’s teachings.”
The star-studded lineup adds even more flair. Vindu Dara Singh wows as Lord Shiva, while veteran actor Avtar Gill brings Narad Muni to life. Actress Sonam Tiwari shines as Goddess Parvati. Joining them are MPs Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan, bringing star power from Bollywood and politics.
Organizers hail Ayodhya Ramleela as one of the world’s biggest productions of its kind. Founder-President Subhash Malik and General Secretary Shubham Malik invite everyone to catch the live broadcast from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily. “Tune in from home and send your blessings,” they urged.
The event runs for several more days, showcasing key Ramayan chapters. Expect massive turnouts both live in Ayodhya and online, fueling the Navratri spirit across India.
