Mumbai, Oct 18 – Bollywood fans can mark their calendars: the new film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari is set to begin shooting on November 1, 2025. The unnamed project is described as a romantic family entertainer that will carry the signature “Sooraj Barjatya” touch, a guarantee of heartfelt storytelling and a wholesome appeal.
Sources say the movie will start production from the stated date and will feature Ayushmann and Sharvari in the lead roles. They also revealed that Rajshri Productions, the company that made hits like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, is partnering again with Mahaveer Jain Films after their successful collaboration on Uunchai. The duo’s friendship on that shoot inspired them to team up for another family‑friendly film.
Ayushmann highlighted the upcoming project at the silver‑jubilee edition of FICCI Frames 2025, where he confirmed signing a Sooraj Barjatya film for the first time. He added that his schedule includes the Diwali release Thamma, a drama with Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, followed by a Dharma‑produced film that targets a broad audience.
Sharvari is also preparing for a Christmas blockbuster with YRF Spy Universe’s first female‑led movie, Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol. That film will hit theaters this Christmas, giving Sharvari double exposure on the big screen this year.
Rajshri Productions will present and produce the new family entertainer, in association with Mahaveer Jain Films and Anita Gurnani. This is Mahaveer Jain’s next major venture after Naagzilla, which starred Kartik Aaryan and was directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba in partnership with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
