Ayushmann Khurrana shared a heartfelt moment on Instagram that many fans felt close to. The Bollywood actor remembered his late father, astrologer Pandit P. Khurana, who passed away on May 19, 2023.
While preparing for the release of his new film Thamma, the “Badhaai Ho” star noted that his father always said “Ayushman Bhav” every time the actor touched his feet. Seeing fellow veteran Paresh Rawal use the same phrase in the movie made Ayushmann feel as if his father’s blessing was with him again. He described the film’s success as “a beautiful divine light” that comes from the prayers of his family and fans.
The actor posted a series of photos. One shows him performing a pooja with family; another captures Paresh Rawal placing a hand on his head, a symbolic blessing. He also shared a video of himself greeting moviegoers in a theater, thanking them for their love.
Thamma – directed by Aditya Sarpotdar – is the latest entry in the Maddock Horror Comedy universe and stars Ayushmann, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal. It hit theaters on October 21, 2025, and is already drawing praise from audiences and critics alike.
