Bhagyashree’s Fun New York Getaway with Husband Himalaya Dassani
Bollywood veteran Bhagyashree just gave fans a delightful peek into her playful vacation in New York City with her husband, Himalaya Dassani. The actress, known for her timeless charm, shared a bunch of lively photos on Instagram, capturing their "silly fun" moments in the Big Apple.
From grooving to music in the bustling Times Square to sipping cocktails and soaking up the vibrant nightlife, Bhagyashree and Himalaya looked like the ultimate couple goals. She paired the post with Jay-Z’s iconic track "Empire State of Mind" featuring Alicia Keys, perfectly setting the mood for their adventure.
In her caption, Bhagyashree wrote, "From mad mornings to date nights, silly fun time in New York, creating memories. I would usually cringe at doing touristy things when I travel, but this time I went with the flow and had funnnnn! #traveltalesbyb #traveltales #traveldiaries #newyork #hubbynme #couplegoals #memories." It’s clear she let loose and embraced the tourist vibe this time around!
For those who don’t know, Bhagyashree tied the knot with Himalaya Dassani back in 1989. The couple has two kids—a son, Abhimanyu Dasani, and a daughter, Avantika Dassani. Abhimanyu kicked off his acting career in 2019 with the action-comedy Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, while Avantika made her debut in the web series Mithya.
On the work front, Bhagyashree is gearing up for an exciting role in the upcoming historical drama Raja Shivaji. The film stars Riteish Deshmukh in the lead as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, with a stellar cast including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Amole Gupte, and Genelia Deshmukh. Directed by Riteish himself, this pan-India movie dives into the turbulent times of warring empires and Shivaji’s inspiring rise to power, leading to the birth of Swarajya.
Filming is currently underway in Mumbai and Wai, Maharashtra, and Raja Shivaji is set for a grand worldwide release on May 1, 2026. It’s shaping up to be a big tribute to one of India’s greatest warriors.
Meanwhile, Himalaya Dassani is stepping into production with a heartfelt project: the biopic Galwan, focusing on Galwan hero Sepoy Gurtej Singh. The film honors the 20 Indian soldiers who lost their lives in the tragic Galwan Valley clash in June 2020. Their son Abhimanyu Dasani takes on the lead role, portraying the brave 23-year-old from Mansa, Punjab.
Shooting for Galwan will happen in Gurtej’s real hometown, parts of Delhi, and the stunning landscapes of Ladakh for the intense war sequences. Based on the official life rights from Gurtej’s family, the movie isn’t just one man’s story—it’s a powerful tribute to all the bravehearts who made the ultimate sacrifice. We can’t wait to see this emotional drama hit the screens!
