He said, “I kept looking at that photo for a long time, and I felt like I was looking at someone else. My hairstyle, clothes, and body language — everything was from another era. I thought I looked really cool back then, but now I see how much has changed.”

He expressed regret about not spending enough time with his children, Abhishek and Shweta, during his busy film career. “When I was working on films and shooting all day, my kids were growing up while I was away,” he said. “Jaya took care of them completely. I used to leave home in the morning when they were sleeping and come back when they were also sleeping. I missed many precious moments.”
Despite his busy schedule, Amitabh explained that he always tried to make up for it. He mentioned that he and Jaya made sure to dedicate Sundays entirely to family time. “We would cook together and eat as a family,” he said. “Even today, we follow that tradition — every Sunday, the whole family sits together for a meal.”
