Salman Khan and Kajol brought back some nostalgic Bollywood magic on the latest episode of Bigg Boss. The two stars, who share sizzling chemistry from their 1998 hit film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, recreated a fun twist on their classic song “Odh Li Chunariya” during a promotional visit for Kajol’s new series, The Trial Season 2.
It all started when Kajol and her co-star Jisshu Sengupta dropped by the Bigg Boss house on September 21 to chat about the show. Jisshu, a big fan of the duo’s on-screen spark in Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, challenged them to relive the iconic dance number, originally sung by Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu.
Salman and Kajol admitted they had forgotten the original steps but weren’t about to back down. Salman, ever the entertainer, proposed updating it to a “2025 version” with moves inspired by his good friend Ajay Devgn. He cracked jokes about top dancers like Shahid Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Hrithik Roshan, saying only a “point something” percentage of people in India can match their skills. Then, with a grin, he boasted, “But me, Ajay, Sanjay… we’re great dancers. We’ll take this talent to the grave.” Kajol jumped in, teasing, “You’re intelligent dancers.”
The fun didn’t stop there. The pair kicked off with the famous Singham hookstep before switching to a groovy move from Ajay’s recent film Son Of Sardaar 2. Fans watching at home couldn’t get enough of the playful energy.
For those who need a refresher, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya is a lively romantic comedy directed by Sohail Khan. It stars Salman as Suraj, a guy who falls head over heels for Kajol’s character Muskan. The twist? He has to win over her overprotective brother (played by Arbaaz Khan) and uncle (Dharmendra) to make it work. The film, full of laughs and heart, remains a fan favorite in Bollywood classics.
Inside the Bigg Boss house this season, contestants like Gaurav Khanna, Amaal Mallik, Awez Darbar, Ashnoor Kaur, Mridul Tiwari, Kunickaa Sadanand, Baseer Ali, Abhishek Bajaj, Tanya Mittal, Zeishan Quadri, Nehal Chudasama, Pranit More, Farhana Bhatt, and Neelam Giri are battling it out for the title.
Bigg Boss, inspired by the Dutch Big Brother format, has been a staple on Indian TV since its debut on November 3, 2006. It has run 18 seasons plus three OTT versions. Early hosts included Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty, Amitabh Bachchan, and Farah Khan. Salman took over as the main host starting from season 4, with Sanjay Dutt joining for season 5. Catch the drama on JioHotstar and Colors.
