In a recent chat with in Mumbai’s bustling BKC area, Bobby opened up about how he jumped on board The Bastards of Bollywood. He shared that the call from Red Chillies Entertainment sealed the deal instantly. "When they told me they’re producing this show and Aryan is directing it, I just said, ‘I’m doing it.’ I didn’t even wait to hear the script," Bobby revealed. He connected it to every dad’s dream of supporting their kid’s big break in the industry, especially understanding what Shah Rukh Khan must feel watching Aryan take his first steps as a director.

But Aryan wouldn’t let it slide that easily. He insisted Bobby sit through a full narration. "I met him and we talked for seven straight hours. I kept looking at him, so impressed by his conviction and how well he gets directing," Bobby said with a smile. That marathon session convinced him completely. He praised the show’s stellar casting, calling everyone involved top-notch actors who brought their A-game. "Some couldn’t join us today, but they’ve all nailed it."

Bobby couldn’t stop raving about Aryan’s direction style. "He’s pushed us actors to our limits and pulled out the best performances. That’s why the visuals pop and every scene keeps you hooked," he explained. He teased that the full series will blow minds—way more than the glimpses in the teaser. "I almost wish it dropped without any promo so viewers could dive in fresh and get hit with the surprises."

The actor is super excited about Aryan’s future in Bollywood directing. "He’s got his own unique vibe, and I’m thrilled for what’s next. I’d love to team up on every project he does—I had a blast on set with him." The Bastards of Bollywood drops on Netflix on September 18, 2025, so mark your calendars for this must-watch series.
