Bobby Deol has landed a new role in director Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming action‑romance, says an insider. The Bollywood star will play a “grey” character that isn’t simply a villain or hero.
The film stars Ahaan Panday and Sharvari, and the source says Zafar will give Deol a larger‑than‑life presence that “instills fear” but also shows his layered, brutal side. “It’s a fresh image for Bobby,” the insider added, praising the actor’s recent work in Animal and Bads of Bollywood.
Zafar is excited to show fans something “never seen before” from Deol. “I want audiences to see Bobby do something new,” he said. The casting has already sparked buzz, especially when Deol and Ahaan appear together on screen.
The untitled film will start shooting in the UK in early 2026. It is the fifth joint effort between director Zafar and producer Aditya Chopra, following Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
