Bollywood’s He-Man Dharmendra on life support

Mumbai – Bollywood legend Dh Dharmendra, 89, is in a critical condition at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai and is on ventilator support. Hospital staff are keeping him closely monitored on life‑support machines.

He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago for routine checks. Doctors have not yet identified the exact cause of his serious illness, but they say he is being treated under strict observation. The star’s 90th birthday falls on December 8, and fans worldwide are hoping for a speedy recovery.

Dh Dharmendra, best‑known for his rugged charm and long‑running career, has acted in more than 300 films from the 1960s to the present. He first rose to fame with hits like Ayee Milan Ki Bela and Sholay. In recent years, he appeared in movies such as Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024) and is set to star in the upcoming war drama Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan. Ikkis follows the life of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of India’s highest military honor, the Param Vir Chakra.

The veteran, a Padma Bhushan awardee since 2012, has been one of Hindi cinema’s biggest box‑office draws. His filmography includes classics like Sholay, Aji Gan—it spans six decades of Indian filmmaking.
