Police in Chennai quickly responded to a bomb threat at actress Trisha Krishnan’s home in Teynampet on Friday, October 3. The scare turned out to be a hoax after officers and sniffer dogs searched the place thoroughly and found no danger.
Sources say the Tamil Nadu police acted fast once they got the tip. Even though this threat was fake, authorities are on high alert. They’ve noted a rise in similar hoax bomb threats lately and are working hard to track down those responsible.
High-profile figures have faced these scares too. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin received one recently, just like Trisha. A few days earlier, actor Vijay’s residence in Neelankarai got a bomb threat, sparking a police investigation. Last month, former Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami’s Chennai home was targeted, raising alarms across the state.
Despite the disruption, Trisha stays busy with exciting projects. She’s set to star alongside Megastar Chiranjeevi in the upcoming socio-fantasy film “Vishwambhara,” directed by Vassishta. Produced by UV Creations, the movie mixes mythology and emotion for a big-screen spectacle. Chiranjeevi has called it a heartwarming story, like a fairy tale from “Chandamama,” that will charm kids and adults alike. It hits theaters in summer 2026.
Trisha also leads the cast in “Karuppu,” an action-packed entertainer directed by R J Balaji. Here, she teams up with Suriya, who plays a lawyer named Saravanan. Dream Warrior Pictures is behind the production. The film boasts a strong lineup, including Malayalam stars Indrans, Sshivada, and Swasika, plus Tamil favorites Yogi Babu and Natty. Young composer Sai Abhyankkar handles the music, while GK Vishnu—known for his stunning visuals in hits like Vijay’s “Bigil,” Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan,” and “Mersal”—leads cinematography.
Fans can’t wait to see Trisha shine in these roles as she builds on her stellar career in Tamil cinema.
