Great news for fans of Tamil cinema! The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has finally given the green light to the upcoming romantic entertainer Kiss, starring popular actor Kavin. The film now carries a U/A certificate, making it perfect for family viewing with a touch of fun.

Producer Raahul from Romeo Pictures shared the exciting update on his X (formerly Twitter) account. "Leaving a U/A mark for y’all. #Kiss certified U/A. See you in theatres on Sep 19," he posted, building up the hype for its big release.

If you remember, Kiss was originally set to hit screens back in March this year. But things got delayed, and the team pushed it to July without a fixed date. Now, they’re locked in for September 19, and fans can’t wait!

What’s got everyone buzzing? This is the directorial debut of well-known dance choreographer Satish, who brings his signature energy to the screen. Kavin leads the pack, while Preeti Asrani shines as the female lead. She’s the talented actress from the critically acclaimed film Ayothya, directed by Manthira Moorthy, so expect some real chemistry here.

The soundtrack adds to the charm, with music composed by independent artist Jen Martin. Behind the scenes, action maestro Peter Hein handles the stunts, Harish captures the visuals as cinematographer, Mohan Mahendiran designs the sets, and Pranav takes care of editing. Back in January, Raahul announced the wrap-up with a fun post, thanking the whole team including Kavin, Satish, and more. He called it a "fun ride" and promised magic on screen.

A teaser dropped earlier gave us a sneak peek: Kavin plays a tough guy who’s totally against romance and love. He even shuts down a shop to protest Valentine’s Day! Things heat up when Preeti Asrani shows interest and asks about his first kiss, setting up a hilarious romantic twist.

For Kavin, Kiss is a big deal. His last outing, Bloody Beggar directed by Sivabalan Muthukumar and produced by his buddy Nelson Dilipkumar under Filament Pictures, didn’t do as well at the box office. So, fingers crossed this one brings him back stronger.

Mark your calendars for September 19 – Kiss looks set to deliver laughs, romance, and some killer dance moves!
