Veteran Bollywood star Dharmendra, 89, has been released from Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after days on a ventilator. Hospital officials confirmed that the actor was discharged earlier today, and an ambulance was seen leaving his Juhu home. His family did not comment publicly on his condition, but the actor is now taking care of himself at home.
Dharmendra was first admitted to Breach Candy on November 10 for close medical observation and was moved to the ICU after his breathing support was needed. He remained there until Wednesday, when he returned home with an ambulance, prompting the police to increase surveillance around the Juhu neighbourhood.
The acting legend’s wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, posted that Dharmendra is stable and on the road to recovery. Esha said, “My father is stable & recovering. Please respect our privacy. Thank you for the prayers.” Hema felt the press should stop spreading rumors about a possible death, calling the false reports “unforgivable and highly irresponsible.” She urged everyone to respect the family’s privacy.
Other family members also offered updates. Bobby Deol was seen leaving the hospital on Monday, and Sunny Deol’s team said, “Sir is recovering and responding to treatment. Let’s all pray for his good health and long life.”
Dharmendra’s fans and the wider Bollywood community now turn to their phones and social media to wish the veteran actor a full recovery. Keep an eye on his health status as he continues his treatment at home in Mumbai.
