Mumbai, November 14 – Actress‑environment activist Dia Mirza used Children’s Day to call on parents and citizens to protect the planet that their kids depend on. The former Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein star posted photos of her son Avyaan on Instagram and asked a clear, urgent question:

“How can our children be happy if the air they breathe is toxic, the ground depleted, the water unsafe, and the biodiversity that sustains them collapsing?”

Mirza said that caring for nature is the safest love we can give our children. “Act now. Choose better. Fight to protect the world they deserve,” she urged.

She has long pushed for more green spaces in Mumbai. In June, she highlighted the benefits of children spending time outdoors, arguing that nature helps regulate blood pressure, strengthens the immune system and keeps kids grounded. She featured the “The Nest” park, a local example of a biodiversity hotspot created by adding native plant species. Mirza praised the space and called it a model that could be duplicated across the city and the country.

The Mumbai‑based actress continues to speak out for a cleaner, greener future, reminding everyone that a healthier planet means happier, healthier children.
