Hyderabad – Action‑thriller director Sujeeth has officially put an end to rumours of a split with producer DVV Danayya.
On his X (formerly Twitter) account, Sujeeth thanked Danayya and his crew for the support that turned “They Call Him OG” into a blockbuster. “People talk a lot, but few understand what it takes to finish a film from start to finish,” he wrote. “The belief Danayya and our team showed for OG can’t be put into words. That’s what gives the film its strength today.”
Sujeeth added that working on the film was tough but driven by commitment. He urged the audience to respect the filmmaking process, praised the fans’ love for Pawan Kalyan and thanked Danayya for constant belief and support. “With love, respect, and gratitude – Sujeeth,” he signed off.
Rumours had surfaced that Sujeeth and Danayya were not on good terms and that the director might have spent his own money to complete the shoot. The director’s statement refutes those claims. Sujeeth has repeatedly praised Danayya in past statements, including a heartfelt thank‑you note just before the film’s release. He praised his family, crew and key collaborators – a‑the‑audience songwriter Thaman, editor Navin Nooli, cinematographers Ravi K Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa, and actor Kalyan Dasari, who co‑produced the film.
“They’re all pillars of strength,” Sujeeth said. “This journey has ended, but the enthusiasm we see from fans like you is surreal. Watch, celebrate, and know that this is only the beginning.”

Directed by Sujeeth, the film stars Pawan Kalyan as the titular “OG,” with a star‑studded cast that includes Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj and Sriya Reddy. Produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainment, the same studio behind the global hit “RRR,” OG was billed as the biggest cinematic event of 2025. Its release was delayed from September 27, 2023, and finally hit screens worldwide on September 25, 2024.
