Divya Dutta celebrates 21 years of SRK-Preity Zinta starrer ‘Veer-Zaara’
Mumbai, Nov 12 – Bollywood actress Div Y Dutta marked the 21st anniversary of Yash Chopra’s beloved romance Veer Zaara by sharing a string of classic stills and a heartfelt note on social media. The film, released on 12 November 2004, remains a music‑filled, border‑crossing love story that launched Dutta’s career and captured the hearts of millions.
In her post, Dutta reflected on how Veer Zaara changed her life. “21 glorious years…of #VeerZaara! A film that got me so much love and yes…stardom,” she wrote. “I have grown up on #YashChopra movies, and it was my biggest desire to be directed by him…a big thank you to #AdityaChopra and @yrf for the most memorable role.” She added how the film feels like a companion, saying, “This film walks with me hand in hand wherever I go…and a big shout‑out to the amazing people I found on this set. @iamsrk @ranimukerji.”
The images showed Dutta with co‑stars Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, and veteran actress Kiron Kher. Highlights included the emotional rain sequence and tender sister‑like moments with Preity, scenes that have stayed with her for two decades.
