Actor Dulquer Salmaan has shut down rumors about his latest hit film ‘Lokah’ heading to OTT platforms anytime soon. The star, whose production house Wayfarer Films backed the blockbuster, shared the update on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday. “Lokah isn’t coming to OTT anytime soon. Ignore the fake news and stay tuned for official announcements! #Lokah #WhatstheHurry,” he posted.
‘Lokah’, Malayalam cinema’s first woman superhero film, continues to crush it at the box office. The movie has already raked in over Rs 275 crores worldwide and shows no signs of slowing down in theaters. Its massive success has left the team thrilled and grateful.
Just after the film crossed the Rs 200 crore mark, lead actress Kalyani Priyadarshan took to Instagram to thank fans. “Yesterday, our film reached a number that was only possible because of you, the audience. I’m beyond speechless, and truly beyond grateful for the love being showered on this film,” she wrote. Priyadarshan highlighted how audiences prove that strong content always wins, calling it the “biggest star” in their industry.
She saved special praise for director Dominic Arun. “And @dominic_arun (our Dom)… thank you for giving us a vision we could believe in with our whole hearts. You’re the reason we were all so excited to give everything we had – and it’s safe to say none of this would have been possible without you,” she added. Priyadarshan also shouted out the incredible cast and crew, saying the win feels extra special sharing it with them.
Directed and written by Dominic Arun, ‘Lokah’ boasts stunning visuals from cinematographer Nimish Ravi, sharp editing by Chaman Chakko, and a pulsing score by Jakes Bejoy. The action scenes pop thanks to renowned choreographer Yannick Ben, with additional screenplay and dramaturgy by Santhy Balachandran, and art direction by Jithu Sebastian.
