Fans of the hit reality show The Traitors have plenty to celebrate! On Sunday night, the BBC series scooped up its second straight Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality Competition Program, according to Deadline.
Competing in the hotly contested category were big names like MTV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race, CBS’s The Amazing Race and Survivor, and Bravo’s Top Chef. Netflix star Leanne Morgan presented the award to host Alan Cumming, who couldn’t hold back his excitement.
"Thanks to everyone who watches the show—especially those hosting Traitors parties and dressing up as me. We see you, and we love you!" Cumming said with a grin. He gave a shoutout to the "crazy cast," the dedicated crew in Scotland—who dealt with the quirky "oxymoronic" Scottish summer—and NBCUniversal execs Francis Berwick and Sharon Vuong.
In tough times like these, Cumming added, "It’s so great that our show brings a little bit of joy into life."
This latest win brings The Traitors‘ total to five Emmys this year, following four victories at the Creative Arts Emmys last weekend. Impressively, the show has triumphed in every single category it was nominated for in 2023.
