Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is excited about his upcoming film “OG,” which marks his debut in Telugu cinema. He is especially looking forward to sharing the screen with superstar Pawan Kalyan, saying it’s a dream come true to work alongside such a big name in Telugu industry.
Emraan explained, “I was thrilled when I was approached for this film because it’s my first time in Telugu movies. And what better way to introduce myself than sharing the screen with Pawan Kalyan? It’s an honor.”
The movie is directed by Sujeeth, and its teaser was recently released. In “OG,” Emraan plays a tough crime boss who steps in to take control when Pawan Kalyan’s character, Ojas Gambheera, returns after ten years. The teaser hints at an intense showdown between the two stars, ending with a powerful shot of Pawan Kalyan’s character.
Emraan shared his experience working on the film, stating, “Working with Sujeeth and Pawan Kalyan was fantastic. I loved everything about my look, my dialogues, and my character. I’m really excited to be part of this project.”
The film also stars Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy. Music is composed by Thaman S. For distribution, Monk Films and Vibrant Vista Entertainments have acquired the rights for North India and Nepal, making sure “OG” reaches a wider audience. The film, produced by DVV Danayya, best known for “RRR,” is scheduled for release on September 25.
Talking about Emraan Hashmi’s recent work, he was last seen in “Ground Zero,” an action thriller about a BSF officer involved in a daring anti-terror mission. The film featured Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain and highlighted the story of real-life hero Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey.
Besides “OG,” Emraan has several exciting projects lined up. He is working on “G2,” a Telugu action spy thriller and a sequel to “Goodachari,” starring Adivi Sesh. He also announced the second part of “Awarapan,” scheduled for release on April 3, 2026. The original “Awarapan” was a 2007 crime drama directed by Mohit Suri, featuring Emraan in a story about a gangster ordered to watch over his boss’s mistress.
